Description
Our peer support training programme provides police forces and organisations with all they need to be able to implement a robust and fully functioning peer support network. Including training for Peer Support Coordinators, Peer Support Champions and Peer Supporters, our aim is to provide you with a safe and trusted approach to deploying peer support in your organisation.
Peer support is the power of shared experience. It brings people together who truly understand the realities of policing, creating a confidential and compassionate space where everyone’s voice matters. Unlike clinical support, peer support offers connection, understanding and lived insight – often exactly what someone needs to feel heard and less alone. Police peer supporters draw on their real-world experience of policing and life’s challenges to help colleagues open up, discover new ways to cope, recognise their strengths and rebuild confidence. This simple but powerful model fosters belonging, boosts wellbeing and gives people hope for the future – because sometimes the most meaningful support comes from someone who has walked the same path.
